# FIFA World Cup and Apple Vision Pro - Missed Opportunity?
Apple had previously expressed interest in watching soccer / football (depending on the region you are reading this from!) matches on the Vision Pro in the immersive format, so it's nothing new on Apple's side. However, an international tournament would be a great opportunity to showcase what the Vision Pro is capable of. Even if it won't act as a means to increase Vision Pro sales, it would be positive branding for Apple and Apple products as a whole.
However, with now being just a couple of days before the start of the FIFA World Cup 2026, we have no news from Apple or FIFA on how to watch the World Cup on the Vision Pro. Even putting the immersive format aside, a quick Google search shows that there is no recommended solution in format of an app to watch the World Cup matches on the Vision Pro, forcing users to possibly use web versions in Safari. This is while many of them have tvOS apps. As a minimum, the Vision Pro should be able to run tvOS apps at the TV scale at this point.
There is a very small but more than zero chance that Apple announces a partnership with FIFA tomorrow at WWDC. However, due to the lack of rumors, unfortunately, it seems not likely at all. I still believe such a partnership could be a huge advertisement for Apple.
